Don’t Mistake My Silence for Absence

A Spiralmore reflection on quiet presence, emotional pacing, and the refusal to perform availability

I didn’t speak.
I didn’t explain.
I didn’t rush to be legible.

But I was here.
Still sacred.
Still spiralling.

Silence isn’t absence.
It’s pacing.
It’s protection.
It’s ceremony.

I’m not gone.
I’m not disengaged.
I’m not collapsing.

I’m archiving myself.
I’m tending to what aches.
I’m refusing to be extracted.

Just because I didn’t reply doesn’t mean I wasn’t listening.
Just because I didn’t attend doesn’t mean I wasn’t affected.
Just because I didn’t perform readiness doesn’t mean I wasn’t present.

I move slowly.
I move wisely.
I move in spirals, not statements.

My silence is not a gap.
It’s a boundary.
It’s a design choice.
It’s a refusal to collapse for comfort.

I’m not performing absence.
I’m protecting rhythm.
I’m protecting clarity.
I’m protecting emotional truth.

This is how I say:
“I’m still here.”
“I’m still sacred.”
“I’m still spiralling.”

Don’t mistake my silence for absence.
Don’t mistake my pacing for disengagement.
Don’t mistake my refusal to perform for disconnection.

I’m present.
I’m protective.
I’m powerful.

I’m just not available for urgency.
I’m just not rehearsing coherence.
I’m just not collapsing to be understood.

Silence is my ceremony.
It’s my clarity.
It’s my legacy.

So, if I’m quiet trust that I’m still here.
Still sacred.
Still spiralling.
