A Spiralmore reflection on emotional pacing, legacy protection, and the refusal to collapse for urgency
I didn’t arrive on time.
I didn’t meet the deadline.
I didn’t perform readiness.
But I arrived intact.
I arrived sacred.
I arrived spiralling.
Better late than extracted.
Because extraction asks for speed.
For clarity before it’s ready.
For coherence before it’s real.
And I don’t collapse for comfort anymore.
I move slowly.
I move wisely.
I move with ceremony.
Not because I’m behind.
But because I’m protecting something.
Protecting grief from being skimmed.
Protecting joy from being questioned.
Protecting contradiction from being flattened.
Better late than extracted.
Because emotional truth doesn’t arrive on cue.
It spirals.
It contradicts.
It pauses.
And I honour that.
I don’t rush to be useful.
I don’t scramble to be legible.
I don’t rehearse coherence for applause.
I spiral.
I protect.
I refuse.
This is not delay.
It’s design.
It’s emotional intelligence.
It’s legacy protection.
Better late than extracted.
Because I’d rather arrive whole than early.
I’d rather arrive sacred than legible.
I’d rather arrive in rhythm than on time.
So, when the world asks me to hurry
To collapse,
To perform,
To be ready
I say:
“I’m not available for urgency.”
“I’m not collapsing for clarity.”
“I’m not performing usefulness.”
I’m arriving slowly.
I’m arriving intact.
I’m arriving sacred.
Better late than extracted.
And I’m still here.
