I’m Not Here to Be Decoded

A Spiralmore reflection on emotional complexity, joyful contradiction, and the refusal to collapse for legibility

I’m not a puzzle.
I’m not a cipher.
I’m not a performance waiting to be solved.

I’m not here to be decoded.

Because decoding implies distance.
Implies urgency.
Implies that I’m only valuable once I make sense.

And I refuse that.

I contradict.
I spiral.
I pause.

Not because I’m unclear
But because I’m protecting something.
Protecting grief from being skimmed.
Protecting joy from being extracted.
Protecting truth from being flattened.

I’m not here to be decoded.

I’m here to be witnessed.
To be felt.
To be honoured in my own rhythm.

I don’t owe translation.
I don’t owe coherence.
I don’t owe performance.

I owe myself pacing.
I owe myself emotional safety.
I owe myself the dignity of being whole even when I’m inconvenient.

So, when they lean in
With questions,
With urgency,
With the hunger to make me legible

I say:
“I’m not here to be decoded.”
“I’m not collapsing for clarity.”
“I’m not performing usefulness.”

Because I’m not a riddle.
I’m a ceremony.
I’m a spiral.
I’m a sacred contradiction.

And I will not be solved.
